Baby Quilts

With my hubby out of town all weekend, and it being "National Quilting Day", guess what I did both Saturday and Sunday?  Yup, you guessed it.....sewed!  And made a huge mess!  I finished a huge project, (which you will see in three weeks) did a fantastic block (which I'm going to expand into a quilt by adding more), and you'll see that soon too, probably, but this is what I finished.

Charm Squares Baby Quilts

Yup, two identical (except for the backs and I forgot to take pics of those) baby quilts made with "Birdie" by Moda. So sweet, and so easy! I tried the straight line quilting which I had never done before and loved it.....although it did make the quilts stiffer because the quilting was so close together. BUT... I solved that too by washing and drying them and now they're all soft and crinkly like they're supposed to be. One will be sent out this week. I have a friend who just had a new granddaughter. Welcome to the world, Samanda Reese!!
