Remember when I told you that my tomato bushes are going nuts this year? Well, I wasn't kidding! I bet if you stretched out the vines, they'd reach to the clouds and then you could call me "Jack". Sara wanted to see. I think she thought I was kidding. Ahhhhh.......not so much! This is two bushes, Sara. One big red one and the other is a cherry tomato bush. Can you believe?
On another note, remember this pic that I showed you last time:
Well, it turned into this:
I think it's just as much fun as those giant paper clips I found among my old patterns and things. Perfect for clipping on my fence for picture taking without making holes in my quilts, wouldn't you say? The finished quilt measures 18 1/4 square with 100 different polka dotted fabrics and is ready to be hung with sleeve and everything! I called it, "Lotsa Dots". (I'm so clever, huh?? Duh!!) Here's a close up:
So far, I think I will be keeping that quilt. It makes me smile! Besides, it's not my partners taste at all, I don't think. Well, you know my motto, try, try again so I'm already at work on Number #2. Check this out:
Now I'm wondering about this one. I think I got her style, but I'm wondering about colors. Eikes, this partner stuff is hard. Sometimes I think I'm right on and then again, I wonder. In any event I will continue. Yesterday I got this far:
Too cute! You definitely have a vast amount of fabrics!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a "make me smile" quilt.

Oh my gosh the dots are fantastic! They are so joyous. They sure do make me smile! I have to say any time I see mamacjt is making a post in blogger I get very excited to see what is coming in that post, and today was no disappointment as usual!
ReplyDeleteWhile your tomatoes are great, the dotty quilt is FABULOUS! It really is joyful and happy. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of those tomatoes! I live in the desert so growing vegetables are out of the question...although I do have some great growing cacti!! The quilt is diffidently a keeper. It would make any gloomy person happy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute polka a dot mini quilt, yes it makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteThat 'dot' quilt is absolutely spectacular!! Do you need my snail mail addy? ;) Love those ginormous clips too. :d
ReplyDeleteoh wow, another stunner! I can't believe how many polka dot fabrics you have!
ReplyDeleteLove your Lotsa Dots mini quilt...so pretty and colorful!!
ReplyDeleteAnd those are some tomato plants gone wild LOL!!
I adore those dots! They make me want to push some buttons.
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! Those circles are awesome. Very cool. I think you should keep that one. You seem to make so many gorgeous little quilts and give them all away. Do you keep any of your masterpieces?
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad about getting off kilter a bit. That looks like the day I've had. I did a quilt block and when completely done and upon measuring it found it was way off. :( Then it hit me! UGH!!! I neglected to tell my machine that I was using the 1/4" foot. The entire block had to be ripped out and now the three 4 1/2" HST's have to be recut and resewn and then I can start all over again. I am so mad at myself because I've never done that before.
Love it! 100 different polka dot fabrics! I don't know how many I own. I thought I'd put them all together in one place, but I keep finding more in unlikely places—mixed in with other stacks of fabrics. Maybe someday I'll count them!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you found your mojo again. Love the teeny tiny dots! What patience you have!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Love it! Makes me smile too.

Love your dotty quilt - what a stash you must have!
ReplyDeleteOur tomatoe plants are doing great also and lots of green tomatoes. Our problem is that they don't seem to want to turn red! I really love Lots of Dots! It's just a really fun design to look at.
ReplyDeleteLoving both of these! The dots definitely are happiness inducing! And I can't wait to see the second mini you are making.
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow. Only 18 inches and has 100 polka dots! Wow! Too cute.
ReplyDeleteLotsa Dots makes me smile too. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing quilt. I can't even imagine stitching so neatly around all of those circles. Beautiful.
