Almost Ready

I haven't been doing much except getting my patterns ready to sell.  Yesterday I folded until I was going nuts!  (And I'm only doing 100 to start.  LOL)  All that's left is to stick them in the clear hanging bags (once I get them) and then they're ready to go.  Anyone want to be on the list?  If so, e-mail me at turznik@execpc.com. and we can discuss the particulars. I already have 3 retail shops waiting and 1 online place and I am THRILLED!  The retail price is $12 and for all of you, my online friends, I will pay the shipping no matter where you live.  I'm hoping to get a direct link to a Paypal account in the future, but for now, we'll have to do this with snail mail and checks.  Sorry about that!

It's so exciting....

I just couldn't wait to show you........

My Pattern

Isn't the cover of my new pattern soooo cool? I just love it! I hope to have it for sale real soon and will let you know as soon as that happens. My graphic artist did such a good job, I could just kiss him! Next, he's going to re-do my blog header. That will be exciting too! And.......he's for hire, if anyone wants to know. :)

Baby Quilts

With my hubby out of town all weekend, and it being "National Quilting Day", guess what I did both Saturday and Sunday?  Yup, you guessed it.....sewed!  And made a huge mess!  I finished a huge project, (which you will see in three weeks) did a fantastic block (which I'm going to expand into a quilt by adding more), and you'll see that soon too, probably, but this is what I finished.

Charm Squares Baby Quilts

Yup, two identical (except for the backs and I forgot to take pics of those) baby quilts made with "Birdie" by Moda. So sweet, and so easy! I tried the straight line quilting which I had never done before and loved it.....although it did make the quilts stiffer because the quilting was so close together. BUT... I solved that too by washing and drying them and now they're all soft and crinkly like they're supposed to be. One will be sent out this week. I have a friend who just had a new granddaughter. Welcome to the world, Samanda Reese!!

I must be a good girl

I feel so blessed lately.  First I get that darling mini quilt from Lori and then my pretty doll quilt from Julie, and then......and this was a BIG surprise, I get these two awesome bags from my dear friend, LauraJ.  I had told her once that I never made a bag (surprisingly enough) and had some real colorful fabric that would be perfect and she offered to make them for me.  I never thought she'd finish them so fast, but she did and I LOVE THEM!!!  Check out the lining too with the generous pockets!  Am I going to have fun at the farmers market this summer or what?  For sure, people are going to see me coming, huh?  Aren't they just the coolest???

Thank you LauraJ! Big huge smooches to you!!! They're great!

Guess What?

Yup!  You guessed it!  Yeah.....I got my doll quilt today and it's so so wonderful!  I almost didn't want to open it though, it was wrapped so pretty.  (Too bad I didn't get a picture of that.....shame on me!)  But I can't wait to show you my quilt.  What a lot of work it was for my partner to make it special for me.  The design is awesome and just wait until you see her hand quilting.  It is amazing!  Wow!  Thank you so much, Julie (fairbanksfancygoods), I just love it and can't wait to hang it in our guest room.
