I should have known something was brewing in my brain when I bought these:
Then these:
But, until I made this:
I had no idea how I would love this new art form. Naturally, I couldn't stop at one so this was the next in line:
And believe it or not, it took me close to 4 days just to put all those crazy knots on that goofy thing!! I never thought I'd be done and wondered for awhile what I had gotten myself into. Of course, I didn't stop there.......but #3 I can't show you! I just mailed it off yesterday. (Swap partner...are you reading this???) I hope you like it!!! #4 though is my favorite so far and I also have a close-up of it in process:
And then finished:
So.....in light of this new love of mine, I thought I should have a give-away. Sound good? Did you see the middle book in the picture with all the books? "Pretty Little Mini Quilts"? Want it? Tell me why.......and please don't forget to leave your e-mail address so I can contact you if you win. Good luck!

OK, I know the first comment never wins but I will give it a shot anyway! I would love the book because I too just discovered mini quilts and joined up for the April swap. I have always loved miniature--I have a dollhouse that I make things for even. I love your work so far!
I love YOUR mini quilts and think MAYBE that book will let me know how YOU do it!??

I'd love the book, and need ideas now that I joined all these mini quilt swaps on flickr.
I would love to win the book. I stay with my mother due to her health problems. It is very difficult to work on large quilts at her home. May be the little quilts would keep my hands and mind busy. Your quilts are really beautiful. Thanks for all of the inspiration. Bonnie in Iowa
ooh! I just thumbed through this sweet little book in the store the other day and was quite taken with the great ideas inside ~ and I recognized some of the artists as flickr friends... would love to include it in my library for inspiration :)

I would love the book because mini quilts are the best. I love combining embroidery with mini quilts. Yours are very pretty miss Carol.
your mini quilts are just perfect - can't wait to see number three after it is received. I would love a copy of this book as I'm just starting to play with minis and any at all inspiration is welcomed!
I am working on my first ever mini quilt TODAY... I started it yesterday and I am ready to cut the binding and get her done.
I have no books about this art form and would love to have this one...
Hee Hee I won that book in a giveaway on another blog. I'm still waiting for it in the mail. I think I'm going to go order that first book Intuitive color and design. Now that looks awesome! Your mini quilts look outstanding!! You make me want to make more waves in my quilts!
Oh my! Look at the eye candy! I would love this book because I have never done a mini quilt. I love them and love what you have done. I have all sorts of crochet thread and really should put it to good use. How inspiring you are.

These are fabulous!!! I love taking a theme and working out new ideas! What beautiful works of art mamacjt! Love them...
Oh wow, what gorgeous mini quilts! I love the detail in the last one, especially the wee buttons!
I'd love to win a book that helps me make quilts like that. I'm working on a Dear Jane quilt at the moment which is so completely at the opposite end of the spectrum - all fixed block patterns and complex, fiddly piecing. Boy would the mini quilts book take me out my comfort zone! But it would be fun :)
I just started quilting in June 2009 after my mother-in-law came and made a classroom quilt with my 4th grade class. I currently just finished quilt #19 but have started thinking about some smaller projects. I would love to have the book - I want to try some wall hangings that I can work on a little at a time when I get home from work. After being with thirty 9-year-olds all day, sometimes I need some ME time!!!
Your mini quilts are so fabulous. What a great feeling to find new inspiration and have fantastic results! ! would love to win this book - I have it on my wish list! I want to make some mini quilts to hang in a newly remodeled room.
Of course I want it, because you've got me hooked on swapping and I need all the inspiration I can get!! BUT, I want your art mini #4 MORE. Like, BAD! It is stunning and so perfect in every way. Beautiful work Carol. The aqua wavy piecing, lazy daisies, french knots, the buttons, the checkerboard binding. AAAAaaaaaah! It takes me right back to my vacation in Barbados last November. I can almost hear the waves....
btw, my tree skirt pattern arrived today!!! Faith in postal service renewed.
What a pleasure to watch you develop your creativity! You have certainly made some incredible quilts! I would love to wine that book, because some of my flickr friends are in it, and because I want to move my creativity forward too! What a fun thing to give away! Thanks for your inspiration!
I want the book.... with the hopes of someday doing what you do.
That would be awesome!
I don't want the book, I want one of your mini's!! They are so beautiful!!!!! Lovely!
Carol your mini quilts are amazing! I want the book because I LOVE It! I actually spent about an hour looking at and drooling over this very book in Barnes & Noble a couple of weeks ago! I would cherish it and be thrilled to try my hand at making art quilts!
Such lovely works!
Of course I would like to win this book :)
Info for the person that left the first comment: on my blog giveaway the first person won!
Your little quilts are stunning!!! I just don't have the creative vision and our local bookshops don't stock these kinda books so I can't even page through one and dream.
Oh, I am loving what you are making, Carol! All those French knots- you are soooooo tenacious! I admire that, and your eye for color and design....
I'd love to win that little book, I am just really getting into making smaller things and that looks inspirational to say the least! Thanks for the chance!
Ooh I would love that book. I have just joined the mini quilt swap Flickr group and hope to take part in the next one which will be my first ever swap - a bit daunting but with this book I would feel a lot more confident!
I would SO love to try some of those little quilts! Yours are amazing and definitely make it look like fun (and possibly something I could do too)!
Sorry, I forgot to write why I would like to have this book. I simply love crafty books.
I love your blog and your work. I have a few of your pictures as favorites.
Oh man those are so cool! I love number 2, it reminds me of doughnuts (OK maybe that's the lack of breakfast talking :) )
I'd love a copy of pretty little mini quilts, I can't get enough of the gorgeous minis!!
I have recently discovered shot cotton and linens and have been looking for the right threads and project ideas. i love what you have done. Thanks for the opportunity to win this book!!
Carol~these are great! I need new potholders, I make them for everyone but myself~my brother called the other day to ask if I had extras for him; evidently, his are worn out and in need of replacement. LOL.
I love this turqouise and green one too.....
