First off, I have to show you the awesome Keds I found on Amazon. They are SO ME, I couldn't pass them up!! I just got them yesterday and I'm so excited to wear them somewhere. My hubby said that all I need now was a floppy hat and a big red nose, but I totally disagree! I bet people are going to ask me where I got them so they can get some too. AND, they come in different colors too!
Delia's friend sent me a photo of Delia with herself. Too bad she decided to change her hair color since I made her. If you remember, she was Lady #66.
And, naturally, we have the envelopes I sent this week:
And lastly, I read a few books (again)….mostly from the library this week. There is just something about holding a hardcover book that I love!
"The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry" by Rachel Joyce
"Lost Lake" by Sarah Addison Allen
"Ruin Falls" by Jenny Michman
"The Weight of Blood" by Laura Mc Hugh
The first one (the only softcover) took me forever to get into, and I almost put it aside, but I'm so glad I didn't because it was my favorite of the week. Anyone over 50 should really be moved by this debut by Rachel Joyce.
So, that's it! Tonight I have to check to see if I have to show up for jury duty tomorrow as the summons declared. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for "NO". How I'll ever sit that long is beyond me…say a little prayer for me please. Many of the trials in our county are settled the night before, I understand, so I can only hope!!! Until next week…………..

I want those shoes! Off I go to Amazon..... fingers crossed you don't have to serve tomorrow
Those shoes are So funny! You're keeping right in style with all the kids and their wildly colored sneakers these days. Love all the fun envelopes ... Especially my happy birthday duck!
Happy May to you too Carol. LOVE the Keds...yes, they are you!!! What fun! As always love to see you here.
I'm sure your husband is perfectly nice, but he is so WRONG. Your new Keds are perfection!
I LOVE your new shoes! I may just have to have a pair:) I had jury duty for 2 straight weeks in Dec. so I got a lot of reading done. We were the last group for the year so we had to show up every day. It was nice to get to know different people and what they do/did for a living but I did manage to read two books and throughly enjoyed myself. Good luck!
I love your creativity, and your new shoes! Your husband is a silly man. :-)
Oh, and I wouldn't even bat an eye if you were wearing striped socks that didn't match. Both my nieces do that, and one of them is in middle school while the other is in college.
I LOVE those shoes! I would love to have a pair in green.
Good luck with the jury duty.
The shoes are GORGEOUS DARLIN!! The wolf sewing the sheeps clothing is priceless!
"Cinderella is proof that a new pair of shoes can change your life!" Fabulous Fun Red Polka Dot Keds!!! Always great to see the ladies pose with their quiltraits. Super envelopes and my Mr. C would even love Wiley Coyote! Creative Bliss Dear...
